We leave in 10 DAYS!
The reality of how soon we leave is finally hitting me. I went to Target last night and stocked up on all the travel essentials: Pepto, ibuprofen, anti-itch cream (you know me, Ms. Sensitive Skin -- if there's some kind of weird bug bite or rash to get, I will.). I also got to spend some quality time with my family last night. My parents leave for Arizona on Thursday, so I won't get to see them again before we leave. We had a short send-off and a prayer that left me in tears. I'm just so grateful for my family and friends who have been so supportive, and just how God has been working in my life the last few months to prepare me for this. The way my brother worded it in his prayer really touched me. He thanked God for bringing me to a place to be open to experiencing an opportunity like this. Totally spot-on. Not that long ago would I have been at a place (spiritually, emotionally, mentally) to even consider a trip of this nature. Plus, it's just cool to hear my brother articulate that, especially in prayer form.
